After breakfast at your hotel/riad, your private driver/guide will pick you up from Fes around 8:00 AM to drive north through the fertile Gharb plain, dotted with olive groves and orchards. Arrive in Asilah in the early afternoon for a guided walking tour of this magnificent city.
Visit the mysterious prehistoric Hercules Caves, then drive along the Atlantic Ocean to Cap Spartel, with the option to include a camel ride on the sandy beach.
After admiring the panoramic view from Cap Spartel, where the Mediterranean and Atlantic are believed to meet, we will drive to the Kasbah district. You'll stroll through its labyrinthine alleys overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar. You'll visit the Kasbah Museum (closed on Tuesdays), then discover the lively medina and its souks (markets) organized into sections. You will also visit the American Legation before being driven to your riad/hotel where you will spend your first night.
Today, we resume our 3-day tour from Fes to Tangier and Chefchaouen with a magnificent crossing of the Rif Mountains. The drive takes approximately 2 hours, and upon arrival, you can begin your discovery of the blue city from Utta el-Hammam Square, located in the heart of the medina (old city).
Visit the Kasbah (fortress), situated in the heart of the medina and founded in the 15th century by Moulay Ali Ibn Rashid to fight Spanish and Portuguese invasions. Get lost in the blue-faced alleys before reaching the Ras el-Ma spring, which offers a panoramic view and serves as a cultural hub where women wash clothes and carpets.
Later, return to the square lined with cafes and restaurants where you can enjoy a drink and observe passersby
After breakfast at your riad/hotel in Chefchaouen, the "blue city," you can dedicate the first half of the day to exploring this charming city. In the afternoon, we will return to Fes, crossing the spectacular Rif Mountains. Arrive in Fes in the evening.
