15-Day Tour Starting from Marrakech

Upon your arrival at Marrakech's freshly renovated airport, you will be met by our team and driven to the hotel where dinner will be served.

You will reach Ouarzazate via the Tichka Pass, one of the highest in the Atlas (2260m), traversing a landscape that is sometimes lunar, sometimes green. Before reaching the "city of cinema," you will pass through the village of Aït Ben Haddou, one of Morocco's most impressive kasbahs, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

From Ouarzazate, you'll take the "route of a thousand kasbahs" along the valley that separates the High Atlas from the Anti-Atlas, then the Boutaghrar track to reach the Dadès Gorges. Once you arrive in Tinghir, you will visit the famous Todgha Gorges, whose rocky cliffs reach 250m in height.

Today you will head to Erfoud, your starting point for discovering Merzouga, famous for its sand dunes that rise like shifting walls at the gates of the desert. Sunrise or sunset is a magnificent spectacle not to be missed.

You will head north again, stopping in Midelt, a mountain town flanked by its old kasbah. Located at an altitude of 1500m, it is the main stopover town between the High and Middle Atlas.

You will drive towards Fes via the charming towns of Azrou and Ifrane, a famous ski resort in the Middle Atlas, located amidst cedar forests with abundant waterways.

Founded in 790 by Moulay Idriss, Fes is the religious, intellectual, and artistic capital of Morocco. Discovering Fes means plunging into the labyrinth of its narrow and winding streets, interspersed with stairs and covered passages. You will discover the largest and certainly one of the most beautiful of the ancient Koranic universities, the Medersa Attarine, as well as Nejjarine Square, famous for its magnificent fountain decorated with mosaics, zelliges, and stucco, the esplanade of the Royal Palace with its sumptuous golden gate, and the remains of the Merinid Tombs (13th-14th century dynasty). You will enjoy the panoramic view of the city, its ramparts, and the surrounding landscape, before concluding your tour with a visit to leather and carpet factories.

Your journey now continues towards Meknes via the ancient Roman city of Volubilis, very close to the prestigious holy city of Moulay Idriss. Meknes, the city of Moulay Ismaïl, the Moroccan "Louis XIV," is distinguished by its 25km of ramparts, its vast parade grounds, and its imposing buildings. You will visit El Hedim Square, Bab El Khemis, Bab Mansour – one of the most beautiful monumental gates in Morocco – the Royal Stables, and the Mosque and Mausoleum of Moulay Ismaïl.

Rabat stands as a serene capital, a success of urban planning that lacked no resources. Among the monuments to discover, you cannot miss the Hassan Tower and the Mohamed V Mausoleum, and you will enjoy strolling through the Kasbah of the Oudayas and the medina.

Along the coastal road, today you will reach El Jadida, the former Mazagan, the "Deauville of Morocco," where you will admire the old Portuguese city behind its ramparts. From there, further south, halfway to Safi, you will reach the modern seaside resort of El Oualidia, with its charming cove beach.

Further south, your route continues towards Essaouira, via Safi, an ancient Phoenician and Roman trading post, a city of fishermen and potters where the Portuguese left a "Château de la Mer" and an elegant white fortress, the Kechla. Surrounded by mimosas planted to stabilize the dunes, Essaouira, the former "Mogador" which has become a pleasant seaside resort, surprises with its isolation. The white and blue city, "well designed" by a French architect for Sultan Ben Abdellah in the 18th century, with its Vauban-style ramparts, has a definite charm.

Day dedicated to visiting Essaouira. You will appreciate its nonchalant charm, its whitewashed houses, its quiet squares, its welcoming cafe-terraces, its Marine Gate, and its Skala.

You will now leave the coast to reach Marrakech, inland. In the afternoon, you will stroll through the Menara Gardens and admire the city's famous ochre ramparts.

Your day will be entirely dedicated to the "Pearl of the South." Among the monuments testifying to its great history, you will visit the Koutoubia Mosque, whose majestic silhouette dominates the red houses and earth-colored palaces, the Bahia Palace, seat of the Grand Vizier Ba Hmad (late 19th century), the Saadian Tombs (16th century), and the famous Jemaa El Fna Square, the beating heart and permanent spectacle of Marrakech, classified as intangible cultural heritage of humanity, where you will take a refreshment break. Right next door, the equally famous souk of the old medina, with blacksmiths, dyers, leather workers, spice sellers with intoxicating scents, cabinetmakers, tailors, etc.

Transfer to the airport and assistance until boarding. Alternatively, continuation of your stay in Marrakech.
